We had sweet Shepard and his family a few weeks ago in our newborn photography studio in Charlotte, NC. Shepard was selected as part of our Newborn Rainbow Baby Program ‘Finding Your Rainbow‘. As a Charlotte Newborn Photographer, I feel that I have to give back to these amazing families expecting their rainbow babies and bringing these beautiful newborns into the world.
With all of our Finding your Rainbow babies we ask the parents to share as much or as little about their journey as they’d like. Here is what Shepard’s parents share:
With this sweet rainbow baby we have found…
that there is hope and even the darkest of moments can be redeemed… Today we walk in the joy and hope of what is to come. We still feel the sting of loss but the rainbow is a promise of the joy to come… and we are beyond grateful and blessed to have this miracle! The road here has been so so difficult. But here I am typing this while I feel this little guy moving wildly in my belly, and the pain and anguish and desperation I felt during the season of longing and waiting seem to fade and feel like years ago because of this beautiful rainbow on the horizon that I will never stop thanking God for. It will never be lost on me the miracle I have in this baby. I recognize so many are waiting on their miracle right now and this breaks me inside over and over. May my journey help me love those better than I ever could if I had never experienced the pain of loss and waiting.
