Introducing a new baby into your life is such an amazing milestone! You will be running around getting the nursey ready, preparing your hospital bag and just celebrating bringing your sweet one home. The last thing you want to worry about is being safe during your newborn session and missing out on the opportunity to get those sweet squishy baby photos done. One of the top priorities of any newborn photographer should be newborn safety. As one of the best Charlotte Newborn Photographer ‘s I take safety very seriously. Now with the COVID-19 pandemic it is even more of a priority!
Studio Cleaning
Prior to your session the studio is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. We only have one session in studio per day to give ample time for cleaning. We use baby safe detergent on all of our textiles, alcohol spray on all of our props and Lysol wipes on all surfaces that are touched.
Day of session
When you come in for your session I will take your temperature at the door and ask if you have any symptoms related to COVID-19. Once you come into the studio, I do require you to wear a mask when your photos are not being taken. I will also be wearing a mask during the entire session to protect you and your family. If I am feeling under the weather at all, your session will be rescheduled. I will also be sanitizing my hands before and during your session since I will be handling your sweet baby!
Handling baby
I always tell my clients that baby runs the show! If baby is too fussy we will take a break to sooth and feed, baby will always be kept warm during the session (which also means we will be very warm during the session!), the list goes on! If baby doesn’t want to do a certain pose we will move to the next one.
In case of a medical emergency, luckily I have never and hope to never have during a session, I am CPR and first aid certified for infants and toddlers.
